Vigezzo Valley – Itinerary through the landscapes of Carlo Fornara
In Val Vigezzo, the Painters’ Valley, one can travel between art and nature.
An itinerary winds its way from Santa Maria Maggiore through some of the most important places painted by Carlo Fornara, comparing the landscapes of today and those of yesterday painted en plein air by the Divisionist master.
The itinerary Among the Landscapes of Carlo Fornara is a new way to admire the landscapes of the Painters’ Valley, guided by the gaze of one of the best-loved exponents of the Vigezzina school of painting.
The route is on secondary roads and footpaths and can be walked all year round. The starting point is the Rossetti Valentini School of Fine Arts where Carlo Fornara studied under Enrico Cavalli.
The presence of ten panels along the route allows visitors to delve into certain aspects of the artist’s works and thought. Thanks to the QR code on each panel, it is possible to download the trace of the route and access new insights.
