Tour 3 Isole

The ideal itinerary for all those who want to discover the charm of the gardens and palaces of the Borromean Islands. The tour starts from Piazza Marconi in Stresa.
The itinerary includes a visit to all three Borromean Islands: Isola Bella, Isola Pescatori and Isola Madre.

The tour departs from Stresa Piazza Marconi Imbarcadero. Transfers to the islands will be made by non-scheduled public service boats.

Isola Bella, the most famous of the three islands, is home to the princely Borromeo Palace surrounded by an Italian-style garden consisting of ten terraces. The Baroque palace contains a veritable museum where you can admire original furnishings, Flemish tapestries in gold and silk, period weapons, sculptures, paintings and frescoes dating from the 16th to the 19th century.
The most picturesque of the islands is undoubtedly Fisherman’s Island, which owes its name to the activity of its inhabitants. Its charm lies in its archaic simplicity and the pleasant whiteness of its houses and alleyways.
Isola Madre stands in the middle of the gulf and has a magnificent Renaissance palace, surrounded by one of the oldest and most important gardens in Italy. Over the centuries, the island’s mild climate has allowed for the creation of a wonderful botanical garden with subtropical varieties.

This itinerary includes trips by motorboat in favourable weather conditions. The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions.
