The Maggiore Centro Classic ticket allows you to travel for one day along a circular route, clockwise or counterclockwise, by boat in the central part of the lake, with departure and return at the same pier. Included in the ticket are also the bus ride for the Laveno–Leggiuno route (or Leggiuno–Laveno, depending on the chosen direction), admission to the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, and a round-trip ride on the Laveno Cable Car.
The Navigazione Lago Maggiore ticket includes all the piers marked on the map shown alongside, in addition to the departure ports listed below. You are therefore free to get off at any stop you prefer and continue your journey later, provided you maintain the direction of travel chosen beforehand.
When purchasing the ticket, you must select both the departure port and the direction of travel — clockwise or counterclockwise — in which you intend to use the ticket. Check our suggested itineraries below before booking! Once you have received your tickets, you must continue in the chosen direction without going back to stops already visited earlier.
This activity is ideal for tourists in good physical condition who enjoy spending time outdoors and organizing their trip in detail, with carefully planned itineraries and attention to schedules and transport connections. It is therefore recommended for travelers with strong organizational and time-management skills. The tour lasts approximately 6-7 hours on average.

You must present your Maggiore Centro Classic ticket to all service providers, including Navigazione Laghi staff and bus drivers.
Participation is not recommended for guests with strollers or wheelchairs, as the route includes numerous stairs.
To access the Laveno cable car and the Eremo di Santa Caterina, you must get in the line and show your Maggiore Centro Classic ticket at the ticket office to collect your entry passes. These are valid respectively for the uphill and downhill cable car rides and for admission to the monastery.
Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso – The Hermitage is open every day from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (last entry at 7:00 p.m.).

Entry to the church during Mass is permitted only for those participating in the religious service.
Laveno cable car – The Laveno cable car is open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 8:20 p.m. (last descent at 10:30 p.m.). On Saturdays and Sundays, it is open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. (last descent at 10:30 p.m.). These opening hours are valid until September 13, 2026. In case of bad weather, the cable car temporarily suspends service.
