NAVIGAZIONE LAGO D'ORTA

The public scheduled ferry service on Lake Orta operates a fleet of three motor vessels with capacities of 70, 110, and 293 passengers. The service runs from March to October, following a daily timetable with frequent departures connecting all the lakeside towns.

All vessels undergo regular inspections and safety checks by the competent authorities. Scheduled crossings between Orta San Giulio, Isola San Giulio, and Pella operate regularly, allowing groups to reach the island after only a few minutes of safe navigation, without the need to split school classes across multiple boats.

The crew members receive annual training and refresher courses on safety procedures to ensure the safe transport of all categories of passengers. The crews consist of licensed marine engineers and certified captains with many years of experience in vessel operation.

Boarding is carried out via gangways approximately 60 cm wide, equipped with handrails to assist passengers. The vessels are also accessible for passengers using wheelchairs, which can be safely boarded and transported.
