NAVIGAZIONE LAGO D'ORTA
The public scheduled ferry service on Lake Orta operates a fleet of three motor vessels with capacities of 70, 110, and 293 passengers. The vessels operate from March to October, providing a scheduled daily service with frequent connections between all the lakeside towns.
All vessels undergo regular inspections by the competent authorities. The connections between Orta San Giulio, Isola San Giulio, and Pella operate regularly, allowing groups to reach the island after just a few minutes of safe navigation, without having to split school groups across multiple boats.
The crew members receive annual training and refresher courses on safety procedures to ensure the safe transport of all types of passengers. The crews consist of licensed marine engineers and captains, all with many years of experience in operating vessels.
Boarding is carried out via gangways approximately 60 cm wide, equipped with handrails to facilitate passenger access. Wheelchairs can also be safely boarded and transported.
