CLOCKWISE
VERBANIA PALLANZA
9:05 a.m. – Departure by boat from the port of Verbania Pallanza
9:25 a.m. – Arrival at the port of Verbania Intra
10:30 a.m. – Departure by ferry from the port of Verbania Intra
10:50 a.m. – Arrival at the port of Laveno
Walk for about 10 minutes to reach the Laveno Cable Car. Queue up, show your Maggiore Centro Classic ticket, collect your valid travel pass, and ride up to the top of Sasso del Ferro!
Both the ascent and descent take about 20 minutes. At the summit you will also find the Ristorante Funivia, where you can have lunch.
Around 1:00 p.m. – Take the cable car back down and walk to the bus stop (located opposite the port of Laveno)
1:30 p.m. – Bus V128 toward Leggiuno. Show the driver your Maggiore Centro Classic ticket.
1:43 p.m. – Arrival at the stop “Via Verbano 34 – Brughiera Reno”
Walk for about 15 minutes to reach the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso. Go to the ticket office and show the staff your Maggiore Centro Classic ticket to receive your valid monastery entrance ticket. Descend the 268 steps, or take the elevator (€1.00 per person), to reach the entrance. The visit to the hermitage lasts about one hour.
3:55 p.m. – Boat to Stresa
4:10 p.m. – Arrival in Stresa
Please note that every day except Wednesday, there is also a boat departing from Santa Caterina at 3:40 p.m. and arriving in Stresa at 3:55 p.m.
From Stresa, return boats to Verbania Pallanza depart at 5:20 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.
VILLA TARANTO
9:15 a.m. – Departure by boat from the port of Villa Taranto
9:25 a.m. – Arrival at the port of Verbania Intra
10:30 a.m. – Departure by ferry from the port of Verbania Intra
10:50 a.m. – Arrival at the port of Laveno

From Stresa, to return to Villa Taranto you can take the 5:20 p.m. boat service. Alternatively, you can also take the boats departing at 4:50 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. to Verbania Intra, and then walk the remaining distance.
