Bognanco Valley, located not far away from Domodossola, is a real paradise for hikers and unspoilt landscapes-lovers!

It’s surely worth a visit because is characterized by incredible panoramas, steep curves and a magic atmosphere… that make the valley almost surreal… more than the 80% of the valley is located at more than 1000 meters above sea level! There are many trails for families and expert hikers, some them will allow you to reach the near Switzerland, as Monscera Pass, an ancient road used by smugglers.

Among the most known routes you will find the one from Alpe San Bernardo to Rifugio Gattascosa and the Tour of Paione Lakes, that will impress you with magnificient views on the italian and swiss Alps.

Curiosity: Val Bognanco is also known as “Wellness Valley”, due to the presence of a thermal center and water sources near the village of Bognanco. The sources were discovered by chance and were among the first waters autohorized for bottling and national sale.
