The Cycle Path of Toce River leads from Fondotoce to Domodossola, through woods, old villages and the flowers of lake Maggiore… Camelias, Rhododendrons and Azaleas will make colorfull this cycle track, especially during Spring.

So starting from lake Maggiore, where there is the outfall of Toce, you will cycle along the river until Domodossola… don’t forget to make a picture of the famous “Piazza Mercato”!

The first part of the cycle path develops in the Natural Reserve of Toce River, the most important wet area and thicket of lake Maggiore. This area is also important for biodiversity conservation.
Toce cycle trail pass through “Bosco Tenso” a natural oasis protected by WWF, located near the centre of Premosello.

Then you will cycle among typical villages such as Vogogna, one of the most beautiful villages of Italy (Borghi più Belli d’Italia), with its old palaces and the Castle, that overlooks Ossola Valley.

Passing Piedimulera, Pallanzeno and Villadossola you will reach Domodossola with its “Sacro Monte” (Holy Mount), declared humanity heritage by UNESCO.
