Together, we contribute to the flood-stricken rebirth of Macugnaga, offering a stay of 2 nights to discover the cradle of the Walser people. A portion of the package will be donated to the Macugnaga Revival Fund.
A full immersion in the ancient scent of the great Walser tradition through a guided tour of the most fascinating villages of Macugnaga followed by a tasting of local excellence of the Anzasca Valley.
FRIDAY: arrival at the foot of the Himalayan wall of Monte Rosa the spectacle of a village to be discovered. Wood and stone blend in a unique environment. Welcome to Macugnaga!
SATURDAY: wake up in the Anzasca Valley, at the foot of the majestic east wall of Monte Rosa, with a breakfast that reflects the traditions of the Walser culture: fresh, genuine and local products, for a charge in the mountain tradition.
Ready for an excursion to discover Macugnaga through small museums, ancient villages and high altitude nature: these are the unmistakable ingredients of this ancient corner of the Alps.
Following the historical and landscape excursion we immerse ourselves in the highly CULINARY TRADITION of the WALSER POPULATION with a tasting of local specialties such as local cheeses produced and aged in the mountain cellars in combination with cured meats high-quality meat from the valley thanks to the open pastures that guarantee a flavour that cannot be reproduced in other areas.
SUNDAY: we cannot greet this valley without visiting the Mountain Museum, in the center of Staffa. A unique museum in Italy and Europe that through black and white images returns to memory one of the most characteristic phenomena of the valleys between Italy and Switzerland.
