One of the most beautiful hikes in the Valgrande National Park.
The panorama from the summit of Cima Laurasca is 360 degrees from the shores of Lake Maggiore to the white glaciers of Monterosa, passing through the dense beech forests of the wild Valgrande dotted with alpine pastures, to the rocky peaks of the Ossola valleys.
At first the itinerary on foot is flat and then begins to climb steadily along the mule track leading to the Fornaci della Calce and then steadily up to Alpe Cortenuovo (1792 m a.s.l.) and Alpe Scaredi (1841 m a.s.l.).
From the bivouac, the horizons expand, ascending through green pastures to the rocks of the summit, which is reached in a short time.
It is not uncommon to come across some chamois, or to hear the whistling of marmots in the distance.
