Among the cities of Lake Maggiore, one in particular is known for something unique: the production of ceramics.
We are talking about Laveno Mombello, a town located on the shores of the lake, considered an important center for the production of ceramics and porcelain, one of the largest in Italy and in Europe.
The different factories, now closed, have decided to create the Civic Collection of Earthenware, a museum that contains the most important artistic ceramics produced here, starting from the end of the 19th century.
The visitors of this town can also enjoy a walk along the lakefront characterized by historical buildings.
