Tired of modern life? Come to Pallanza and go for a ride on the Time Machine. When you’ll rich the lakeside, suddenly you’ll feel like entering a nineteenth-century picture. You could almost get a feeling of seeing noblemen with bowlers and sticks and ladies with hoop skirts all around.

Take a stroll to Villa Giulia park and then you will join the Prince Paolo Troubeztkoj, at the ground floor of Palazzo Viani Dugnani, for a tea with the great world of artists, writers and upper class people of European “Belle Epoque”. In the “Gipsoteca Troubetzkoy”, part of the “Museo del Paesaggio” you will find the plaster casts of such celebrities like Lev Tolstoj, George Bernard Show and the italian painter Giovanni Segantini. They were all Troubetzkoy’s friends attending his “villa” in Ghiffa for holidays and artistic work. Make an imaginary cheers in such fine company!
