Sorry… you were wrong! You missed the prettiest: Lake Mergozzo. It is a little “shy”, hidden between the bigger ones Maggiore and Orta. And it is the younger: only five century ago it was part of the Lake Maggiore. But now it stands out in beauty.

There are plenty of wonders in this corner made of water and rocks. The waters are cristal clear and, to keep this high level, sailing under power is forbidden. This is a paradise for watersports! Left your gills at home? Don’t worry! You can climb Montorfano and discover the hidden treasure of San Giovanni Battista Church. Or you can simply sit under the Ancient Elm Tree in the main square, listening to it whispering.
